Well I just turned in a sculpture project I made out of wax today and I'm feeling artsy. If you got time I think anyone would really enjoy this. It's street art that this guy named blu does and he made it into animation. Must of taken him hundreds of hours, enjoy.

Decked out my computer

I have a mac. I know I probably lost a few followers there but hey, today I just partitioned the drive and installed Windows 7 on it. I'm using this program called Parallels to run it in a window on my mac and have my files connected so I can move files between them easily. Reason I did all this is because I just downloaded Fallout New Vegas and it's expansion set Dead Money and I need to play them. Thats all for today, I'll be in the wastelands.

Blind people who can "See"

During the drive back to school after break I heard about some crazy things. Like this kid who uses echolocation to "see". He not only know where objects are but he could tell a car from a trashcan, he can throw pillows at people in a pillow fight and play videogames. It's pretty cool.



Another crazy thing I heard about is this research that some people are doing using the blind persons tongue to detect surroundings. It basically has a couple cameras that send little pulses to the tongue telling him where things are. Pretty insane if you ask me.

Video Game Reunion

I usually don't do advertisements but this show needs to get known about. This show is called Video Game Reunion. It is about the classic video game stars, Mario, Luigi, Link, Zelda, Megaman, Snake and whatnot, all meeting up in vegas for a reunion. It's kind of like a child star rehab show almost, they all have stupid problems, Peach sued Mario and got the Mushroom kingdom, Link thinks Zelda is banging Megaman, celebrity reality show stuff. It just started, all the released episodes are on this site. I figure the more people watching it the more episodes they will have so spread the word.

Sperm whales have names for each other

So apparently some scientists discovered that sperm whales use a unique clicking sounds to identify themselves and others when hunting. It was known that sperm whales had a unique code to identify themselves but the crazy thing is that they know the unique codes of each other so they can communicate to a specific whale. Weird...

Steven Seagal Aikido Demo

This is an amazing demonstration of Steven Seagal showing some of his moves on what looks like a 16 year old asian pupil. I never had much respect for the man until I saw this and heard he also is one of the trainers for the most badass fighter in the world, Anderson Silva. Anderson Silva is undefeated in the UFC and has been moving up weight classes and destroying people. Enjoy the video!

A Slow Loris

Sorry for the couple day gap of no posts. My computer was having troubles and today is the first day that I got on the internet. It also is the first day of spring break so that's great. I think over the next week I will be doing a what I call a music week and just post some good songs I hear because I will lack the time to do much writing and I always hear great new music when I see my friends that I haven't seen in a while.

But yeah, the main point of this post today is to show you the most awesome creature in the animal kingdom, the slow loris. It is a rare pygmy species found in southern china. They were hunted for their large eyes that people used for traditional medicines and also they were turned into wine or dried and smoked. Now they are endangered and it is illegal to hunt them. I just don't understand why they didn't turn them into pets. I mean like how cool would it be to have sticks and stuff all around the insides of your house and have a couple of those guys cruising around.

New theory says that 'Tractor Beams' are possible

My friend showed me this article from BBC news talking about how it is known that lasers can be used to push objects but they just found out that it is possible to pull objects towards the laser as well. I can see lots of uses for this technology so I hope they improve it.

British Government Releases UFO files / UFO Sighting in Jerusalem

Well I must say, I am a fan of UFOs and aliens. Lots of government scientists came out and said that the government knows about UFOs and aliens and can't explain them. Britain actually just released it's seventh batch of UFO files with 8,000 pages of reports as a segment of their timed release of UFO info. I personally believe that is more plausible that the aliens are probably from a different dimension or different time rather then planet being that we are so far from a habitable planet but who knows, it is also very pretty far fetched to go between dimensions or time. Here is a video talking about what was released in the British UFO files.



Also Jerusalem had a recent experience with a UFO which can be seen in this video. It is two separate angles from two different witnesses synchronized. A third video was released but it turned out to be a fake. Some people speculate it was made by government agents to create question about the ufo sightings but who knows.

Transgenic, Glowing Animals

Well if you keep up with the nobel prizes then this won't be news to you. I just heard of this so I assume a couple of you haven't heard of this either.

The winner of the Nobel in chemistry in 2008, Dr. Osama Shimomur, was awarded for discovering how to put green florescent protein from jellyfish into animals. It can make any animal glow under black lights. Imagine that at a rave. It's pretty crazy and apparently has lots of real life application to curing diseases.
