Just Hit 50 Followers

A milestone was reached today! I'm glad I can do what I love and make money doing it, and I can do it all from the comfort of my home.

Scare People

If you haven't done it today then get on it. This is the only day that you can scare the shit out of people and have it be socially acceptable.

Best Halloween Movies

For all you people who can't go crazy tonight because you got school or work tomorrow I thought I would put together a list of the best movies to watch on this day. Order irrelevant.

1. Nightmare before Christmas (I think this is the only movie that doubles as a christmas movie and a halloween movie.)

2. Halloween (Both the original and the remake are good but I would say that the remake by Rob Zombie is a must see, that man is crazy.)

3.The Shining (A little long and dated but it's a good watch.)

4. Se7en (Movie is not directly about halloween but its a cop mystery horror movie.)

5. The Crow (One of my favorite movies as a kid, probably going to watch that before I head out tonight.)

6. Evil Dead (One of Sam Rami's first movies, its dated so its kinda comical but its a sketchy concept and probably has one of the best sequels of all time with Army of Darkness.)

7. Scary Movie 1+2 (I didn't say best scary movies, I said best halloween movies. The first 2 movies in this series are great... only those.)

8. Sleepy Hollow (One of my favorite Tim Burton movies, he makes the headless horseman a true badass. I would strongly recommend this to whoever hasn't seen it.)

9. Young Frankenstein (How could this list be complete without it.)

10.  Blair Witch Project (This movie is amazingly done, only a few actors and no effects but still a very scary movie. I haven't seen the sequel but I heard it is horrible.)

-==- Honorable Mentions -===- Bram Stoker's Dracula, The Ring, The Exorcist, Saw, Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, The Omen, Rosemary's Baby, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Dawn of the Dead, Hellraiser, Abbot and Costello neet Frankenstein

A Little Halloween History

Hey, I woke up this morning not feeling to gravy but enough to hop on here and shoot you guys a post. I was going to just say happy halloween and drop a song or something but who really wants to read that. I've seen to many of those so far. So I did a little research and found out how we got halloween.

Ok so halloween has been traced back to the celtic people. They had a festival on Nov. 1 called Samhain (pronounced sah-win) to symbolize the end of summer. In this festival they light giant bonfires to represent the sun to aid their druids (celtic priests who carried out rituals in open air) in the fight against the dark powers. They believed Samhain was the time when the division between the two worlds became thin so hostile supernatural forces were able to venture into our world and wander around as ghosts. Because of these dark forces many of the Celtic people would dress in masks to ward off these spirits. And through the telephone game of time we ended up with a holiday where toddlers go trick or treating, kids go toilet papering, teens and adults dress in skimpy outfits and party, and old people give out candy.

Side note - I found out that the word bonfire came from the words "bone fire" which means that these Celtic people would put sacrificed animals bones into the fire to set ablaze, sometimes human.

Ok so now you know, your wearing that costume tonight to ward off spirits that wander around on this day. Now have a great day/night and be safe. I'll be posting some hangover cures later for you people that don't give a fuck its sunday, its halloween!

Great Unknown Music

Well I had a great night last night, still haven't found my way out of the bed. I thought I'd throw you guys this video. This man is crazy talented, he beatboxs with a loop pedal and then creates a song. It's kinda like a mix between dubstep and hip hop, very creative and revolutionary. Now I'm going to venture out of my bed. Listen and enjoy. DUB FX

Life hacks (Tips)

Ok well I woke up today and realized that if you read my blog your not really learning anything useful, or getting anything out of it. I did make a post about saving money but that was a quite obvious way to save money. So today I'm going to post some life hacks. All very relevant and I believe most are legal, some might be questionable so I'll just say that I don't condone breaking the law.
enjoy,

Tonight

Just got back from an epic DJ setup. It was a costume required and I threw on my gorilla suit and got down. Learned a couple of things; one, don't wear pants under your suit, two, a gorilla suit doubles as a fawn suit if take off the top part and tie it around your waist, three, when your going to a dance party you should buy hard alcohol instead of beer, and four, the hottest chick on the dance floor is probably the DJs girlfriend... that was a bummer. But anyways it was a great night so I thought I'd bless my blog with a great song.
enjoy

What I just realized

If you want to make money fast, if you want to have a wallet full of cash, if you want to be rich. Save the money you have. I'm about to go to the store and buy a bunch of stuff with coupons. Will probably spend 12 dollars and save 20. I know its not exactly making money, but it will make your money stretch. It's not about how much money you got but how you spend it.

My Art

Well I'll give you guys a summary of my art experience later but I got to go to class soon so I'm going to just leave this picture I just drew in logic. I know its lacking contrast and is on lined paper but I only had a No.2 pencil and this yellow paper on me.

My Music

Ok, let me describe my music career. I started playing music the end of junior year in high school. I didn't have any music classes but I had a guitar and friends that were willing to teach me. I started jamming with them quite regularly and eventually we started a dub reggae/hip hop/jazz/rock/jam band. We never organized any of our songs, we would just have a couple of chords and jam out on them. Even got to play a couple high school parties, biggest one was an africa benefit concert/party that had like 100 people and it even had a helicopter pad. Shit was epic! Continued playing random house parties till the end of school and then most of us split up. Our lead guitarist and drummer go to the same college as me so we still jam once in a while. I stopped practicing guitar and I've kinda lost my touch. At the end of senior year I got really into hip hop, not the stupid shit but the spiritualistic kind. I started rhyming and soon after I got a macbook. Eventually I bought a keyboard and a MPD16 (jank version of an MPC but if you run it with logic it works the same). I have been teaching myself how to sample songs and play keyboard for about a year now. I really think I have been improving rapidly. Now I make beats regularly and get different people to sing over them.

Heres a beat I made and my friend Misha sung over it.

Heres a link my sample beats (if you don't know what sampling is, it is when you take old songs chop them up and assign them to keys so jam it out)

*Note that I haven't put any new songs on here since april, I'll be adding more soon*

ChchcHCHANGES

Ok well I decided to change the subject of my blog from movie reviews to pretty much whatever I feel like. I apologize to my current followers for this and would like to say that there still will be movie and TV show reviews, just not strictly reviews. If your looking for a blog with strictly TV reviews then I suggest that you stop following me, but don't be to hasty because this blog has much more potential now and I intend to use it to its fullest. Im sorry for anybody who I mislead, I hope you enjoy my new subject matter.

Prequel

Well I realized none of you internet people know who I am so I thought I'd give you a quick summary of myself. So here it goes.

Hi, I'm Evan B***** I'm 19 born and raised in San Diego California, I'm going to college at Humboldt State University, majoring in computer science, this will be my second year up here. I love drawing, playing music (guitar, keyboard, or my MPD), playing sports (mostly basketball), rock climbing, frolfing (not much lately), sleeping, kicking it back with friends, hiking, and ofcourse watching movies and tv shows (online). I am an insomniac so I stay up really late all the time so thats when I get most of my screen time in. Oh yeah and why you should respect my movie opinion, well I have been watching movies for my entire life. We had multiple bookshelfs full with VHS's back in the day and now we got books and books full of DVDs. If you name a movie, chances are I've seen it. Same with TV shows. But whatever, don't take my word for it. I'll just write reviews and you make up your mind. Oh yeah and...**PLEASE COMMENT AND LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT MY POSTS**

Hello

To be bluntly honest, I started this blog to be a pornography blog. Then I realized that Adsense doesn't condone that and porn ad sites don't really give you much money. So I was like hmmmm.... what should I do? So then I realized what I like to do. I like to watch movies and TV shows! So this blog will be dedicated to that. I will post what I watch and reviews of them. Hopefully this blog will go smoothly so I can make money fast. I'm a college kid with no job, will have debt problems probably when I'm out of school, (shouldn't of got those school cash loans).
