Best Halloween Movies

For all you people who can't go crazy tonight because you got school or work tomorrow I thought I would put together a list of the best movies to watch on this day. Order irrelevant.

1. Nightmare before Christmas (I think this is the only movie that doubles as a christmas movie and a halloween movie.)

2. Halloween (Both the original and the remake are good but I would say that the remake by Rob Zombie is a must see, that man is crazy.)

3.The Shining (A little long and dated but it's a good watch.)

4. Se7en (Movie is not directly about halloween but its a cop mystery horror movie.)

5. The Crow (One of my favorite movies as a kid, probably going to watch that before I head out tonight.)

6. Evil Dead (One of Sam Rami's first movies, its dated so its kinda comical but its a sketchy concept and probably has one of the best sequels of all time with Army of Darkness.)

7. Scary Movie 1+2 (I didn't say best scary movies, I said best halloween movies. The first 2 movies in this series are great... only those.)

8. Sleepy Hollow (One of my favorite Tim Burton movies, he makes the headless horseman a true badass. I would strongly recommend this to whoever hasn't seen it.)

9. Young Frankenstein (How could this list be complete without it.)

10.  Blair Witch Project (This movie is amazingly done, only a few actors and no effects but still a very scary movie. I haven't seen the sequel but I heard it is horrible.)

-==- Honorable Mentions -===- Bram Stoker's Dracula, The Ring, The Exorcist, Saw, Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, The Omen, Rosemary's Baby, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Dawn of the Dead, Hellraiser, Abbot and Costello neet Frankenstein

  1. I'll end up watching one of these tonight. Not sure which ones yet though. I didn't enjoy the Shining. I seem to be the only person alive that has that opinion though. Just watched Halloween for the first time the other night and enjoyed it though.
