The Dark Knight Rises

Well I watched "The Dark Knight" today, which is the batman movie with Christian Bale as Batman, Heath Ledger as The Joker and Christopher Nolan directing. I've seen it a couple times before and it has to be the best comic book movie ever. Unlike a lot of the recent comic book movies, The Dark Knight is a pretty dark (pun intended) movie. So today's post will be about the sequel that is coming out in 2012.

So far what has been released is that Christian Bale, and Christopher Nolan will return and Batman will have some new opponents. He will be up against...

Bane (Tom Hardy) - If you are unfamiliar with the comics, he is a escaped prisoner who wears a wrestling mask and pumps himself full of drugs to make him a super roided out gnar gnar muscle freak.

and...

Catwoman (Anne Hathaway) - If you are unfamiliar with the comics, you should probably kill yourself.

  2. ^ Hell yeah man. And Tom Hardy is going to be awesome as well (no homo). I was pretty worried when they announced so many people were going to be joining the cast, but I trust Nolan.

  4. I feel Bane smaller, from the first shot. Well the Bane from the comic was a bit unrealistic.

  5. The part I loved the most about the dark knight was the scene where the joker burned all of his share of money. I understood the statement he was trying to make.

  11. I thought it was overrated as I am a huge fan of the comics. The The Joker was just used as a one-dimensional MacGuffin. His plans were too perfect, unlike the comics. Ledgers performance was good but not great, Mark Hamill did a better job. A lot of what the comic stood for was sacrificed for Nolan's “realistic and dark” view of his Batman. But that's just from the view of a comic book and film student. Nolan's best movie is "Following"
