Transgenic, Glowing Animals

Well if you keep up with the nobel prizes then this won't be news to you. I just heard of this so I assume a couple of you haven't heard of this either.

The winner of the Nobel in chemistry in 2008, Dr. Osama Shimomur, was awarded for discovering how to put green florescent protein from jellyfish into animals. It can make any animal glow under black lights. Imagine that at a rave. It's pretty crazy and apparently has lots of real life application to curing diseases.
