Blind people who can "See"

During the drive back to school after break I heard about some crazy things. Like this kid who uses echolocation to "see". He not only know where objects are but he could tell a car from a trashcan, he can throw pillows at people in a pillow fight and play videogames. It's pretty cool.



Another crazy thing I heard about is this research that some people are doing using the blind persons tongue to detect surroundings. It basically has a couple cameras that send little pulses to the tongue telling him where things are. Pretty insane if you ask me.
